5 Seinfeld Episodes on Satellite TV for Viewers in Brooklyn, New York

The wacky quartet that made up the cast of Seinfeld was one of the greatest comedy teams ever formed. With brilliantly crafted episodes letting the outrageous personalities breath, Seinfeld was a national event every time the show aired on Thursday nights. From the “yada yada yada” moment to the explosive Kramer scenes, Seinfeld was a part of everyone. After more than ten years off the air, it still is one of the most talked about shows. Here are five must-see episodes for satellite TV viewers in Brooklyn, New York to check out on weekday nights.

1. “The Library.” Have you ever seen a library cop before? In this episode, Phillip Baker Hall delivers one of the finest acting performances ever on the show. Library cop Bookman has it in for Seinfeld, the kind of “flashy” guy “making the scene” around town, as Bookman somehow suspects of Jerry. It doesn’t look like Bookman will stop until he breaks “Joy Boy” Seinfeld in one of the funniest speeches you’ll ever hear. Check Fox HD listings for show times.

2. “The Bizarro Jerry.” In one of the episodes brimming with great ideas, when Jerry starts to annoy Elaine she turns to his doppelganger named Kevin. It turns out there is a replacement for George and Kramer as well, some nut job known as Feldman. Of course, Jerry’s unhappy with his beautiful girlfriend because of her alarmingly masculine hands. Where’s Kramer? He’s hit the corporate world, tackling a job he was never hired for and certainly isn’t capable of handling. Will he be fired? In a side splitting scene, he is.

3. “The Soup Nazi.” Maybe we’ve all given up a little bit on pride at times to get something we want. When George and Jerry try to get some of New York’s best soup, they realize they better watch their step. To be like the “Soup Nazi” remains a character trait everyone can describe. This episode continues to light up satellite TV.

4. “The Boyfriend.” Keith Hernandez meets Jerry and the two of them hit it off, if awkwardly so. When Kramer and Newman get wind of Seinfeld’s new buddy, they almost hit the roof. A preposterous tale is told, in which Kramer and Newman were allegedly spit on by the Mets great after Newman called him a pretty boy. In a parody of JFK, Seinfeld makes the case for false representation. See this episode in HD for the Zapruder film-style effects.

5. “The Puffy Shirt.” It’s hard to believe anyone would don the type of shirt Jerry wears in this episode — least of all on national television. Bryant Gumbel delivers a great cameo as himself, while Jerry kicks himself for wearing the absurd garment designed by Kramer’s “low-talking” girlfriend. This episode is what makes the variety of satellite TV in Brooklyn, New York so great.

Few and Chosen Mets: Defining Mets Greatness Across the Eras (Few & Chosen)

$16.07

In the middle of the 1983 season, I got traded to the Mets. That was a tumultuous year for me, getting uprooted in the middle of the year from St. Louis, where I had spent almost 10 years and was comfortable, going from a first-place team to a last-place team, not being where I wanted to be. It was not a very good time for me. Rusty asked me where I was going to live that season, and said, “If you…
